A manufacturing unit in Jeedimetla, Balanagar, Cherlapally or Patancheru wins new buyers by being the one supplier in its estate whose own website answers the six questions a procurement engineer checks before sending an RFQ: tolerance, certification, minimum order, lead time, batch documentation and a named client. On 15 September 2026 we read the first page of four Hyderabad industrial estate searches and found 34 results, 30 of them directories and job boards, and only 1 page belonging to a unit inside the estate it was found for. The playbook below takes about ten weeks, costs 60,000 to 2,00,000 rupees one time for the site plus a small monthly ad budget of your own, and produces the first RFQ from a stranger inside a quarter.

Why does a unit in Jeedimetla need this when IndiaMART already brings enquiries?

Because IndiaMART brings the enquiry, and your website decides whether it turns into a purchase order. IndiaMART reported 218,000 paying suppliers in the quarter ended June 2026, a net fall of 1,850 in the quarter with the churn concentrated in its Silver tier (IndiaMART Q1 FY27 results, July 2026). That is the cheapest tier, the one most job work units in Cherlapally and Nacharam sit on, and the churn says what the owners know: the leads are shared with a dozen competitors and mostly price shoppers. The purchase engineer at a Patancheru OEM opens the listing, searches your company name, then reads your site. If it is a template with a stock photo of a lathe, the RFQ goes to the supplier whose page states a tolerance figure.

TGIIC lists 156 industrial parks across Telangana covering 28,458 acres (TGIIC industrial parks list, 8 April 2026), and the oldest of them ring the north and west of the city: Jeedimetla and Balanagar off the Medchal road, Cherlapally and Nacharam beside ECIL, Patancheru and Pashamylaram on the Mumbai highway.

What did the four estate searches actually return?

On 15 September 2026 we searched sheet metal fabrication in Jeedimetla, CNC machining job work in Cherlapally, injection moulding in Balanagar and industrial fabrication in Patancheru, and read every first page result. The 34 results split as 30 directory, aggregator, job board or reference pages and 4 business owned pages. Justdial held 7 of the 30, IndiaMART 5, Infoisinfo 4 and IndianYellowPages 3; the rest were Dial4Trade, ExportersIndia, AskLaila, Sulekha, Dun and Bradstreet, Wikipedia and two job boards. Two of the Cherlapally results were CNC operator job adverts: people are hired there, but nobody is selling from there.

The 4 business owned pages tell the sharper story. Only 1 belonged to a manufacturing unit inside the estate it was found for: Precision Dies and Moulds in Balanagar, established 2016, a mould maker whose page names an ISO certificate, a 30 to 250 ton press range and one client testimonial from Adept Technologies. The other 3 were Robocon CNC, a Pune machining firm running a Hyderabad locality page; a Jeedimetla page from Hyderabad Fabrication and Engineering Contractors, a Patancheru based contractor, last updated in July 2022 and carrying a phone number in a US format that reads like a template leftover; and a residential and commercial welding contractor. Scored against the six procurement facts, the Balanagar page answered 2 of 6, certification and a named client, with no tolerance, minimum order or lead time. The Jeedimetla page answered 0 of 6. A buyer searching these four estates today finds directories, a job advert, a Pune firm and one real unit. That is the whole opportunity.

What should the website of an estate unit actually say?

It should read like the first page of a supplier qualification file, because that is what the buyer is compiling. Google's survey of 2,063 senior business buyers with National Research Group, reported on 5 December 2025, found that nearly three quarters complete a B2B purchase in 12 weeks or less and 58 percent of those who bought in the previous six months also switched a vendor in that period. The shortlist is built before anyone calls, so the site needs, per process you offer, one page stating the six facts in plain words. Tolerance you hold on production, not the best you once achieved. Certifications with number and expiry, ISO 9001 at minimum, IATF 16949 if you have it. Minimum order and whether you take development batches. Lead time by batch size. What ships with the parts: inspection report, material test certificate, packing list. And named clients, with permission, or an honest description by sector when permission is refused: pump makers in Balanagar, the defence electronics supply chain around ECIL, pharma machinery builders in Pashamylaram.

Add what a visiting buyer would otherwise learn on the floor: the machine list with make, model and year, a phone photograph of the shop with the CMM in the frame, and the address as a Bengaluru engineer would give it to a cab from the airport, past the Balanagar flyover, beside the IDPL colony, the road behind Cherlapally railway station. It is the answers you give on every factory visit, written down once.

What is the step sequence, what does it cost, and how long does it take?

Seven steps, about ten weeks, most of the money in the site rather than ads.

  1. Week 1, the entity pass. Make the unit name, plot address, estate and process list identical on the Google Business Profile, IndiaMART, Justdial, the Udyam certificate wording and the website. Cost: three hours of the owner's time. A buyer who sees two addresses assumes one is a broker.
  2. Weeks 2 to 6, the qualification site. Six to ten pages: one per process, then quality and certifications, clients and sectors, the plant and machine list, and how an RFQ runs from drawing to quote to sample to PO. A local freelancer will usually quote 60,000 to 2,00,000 rupees one time for a site of this size, a studio more. The owner or plant head writes the six facts; nobody else can. Send client permission requests in week 2, they take longer than the build.
  3. Week 3, route the marketplace to the site. Keep the IndiaMART listing, but put the site link, the process page and the RFQ form in every reply, and reply inside two working hours during the day shift.
  4. Weeks 4 to 8, the owner's LinkedIn. Two posts a month from the owner's own profile, not the company page: a fixture you built, a rejection caught at incoming inspection, a lead time held through a monsoon power cut. Cost: two hours a month. A post showing a real CMM report earns more trust than any brochure.
  5. Week 8 onward, a small search campaign. Google Ads on process plus city terms only, CNC turning Hyderabad, precision sheet metal Telangana, with the process page as the landing page and the RFQ form as the conversion. Start at 30,000 to 50,000 rupees a month of your own ad spend, cut any term that brings job seekers inside a fortnight, and never send ads to the homepage.
  6. Every exhibition, the 48 hour follow up. Every card collected at a show at HITEX or in Chennai gets the process page link and a one line note from the owner inside 48 hours. Most units in the belt do not.
  7. Week 10 onward, count three things. RFQs by source, quote to purchase order rate, and hours to first reply. A unit that knows 14 RFQs became 3 orders last month can decide where the next rupee goes.

Timeline in one line: entity pass in week 1, replies routed by week 3, owner posting by week 4, site live by week 6, ads live by week 8, first cold RFQ inside the quarter. Judge it after two quarters and after the first PO that came through neither a referral nor a marketplace.

Who should not follow this playbook?

A unit running at capacity for one or two OEMs with no appetite for a third needs only a two page site that reassures the existing buyer's audit team, and an entity pass. A job work shop competing purely on rate per hour will find the six facts work against it, because a tolerance you cannot hold on every batch is worse than no figure at all. The playbook works for the 10 to 50 crore unit with a real quality system that wants a second sector or a second city, which is most of the estate belt.

Key takeaway. On the four Hyderabad estate searches we read on 15 September 2026, 30 of 34 first page results were directories or job boards and only one page belonged to a unit inside the estate searched. A unit that publishes its tolerance, certification, minimum order, lead time, documentation and named clients becomes the only supplier a buyer can qualify without a factory visit. Ten weeks, one site cost, two hours a month.

The qualification site is one chapter of the framework we run for every client. The Marketing Operating System is how the RFQ, quote and PO numbers get reviewed every week instead of at the year end. Frequently asked questions

We get plenty of IndiaMART enquiries already. Why spend on a website?

Because the serious buyer checks your site after the listing, and a site that states tolerance, certification, MOQ, lead time and documentation is what turns an enquiry into an RFQ.

Should we put our machine list and tolerances online? Competitors will see them.

Your competitors already know your machines; the buyer does not. Publishing it removes a visit from the qualification cycle and puts you on the shortlist first.

How much should a 20 crore unit in Cherlapally budget for this?

Plan 60,000 to 2,00,000 rupees one time for a six to ten page site from a freelancer, more from a studio, plus 30,000 to 50,000 rupees a month of your own ad spend from week 8 and two hours a month of the owner's time. Nothing on ads until the site carries the six facts.

Can we name our OEM clients on the site?

Only with written permission, which most OEMs grant to approved suppliers if asked through the purchase contact. Where it is refused, describe the client by sector and place, for instance a pump manufacturer in Balanagar, and show the part type without the drawing.
